| Whats the difference between a DVD recorder and a DVR. Can I record High Definition TV off my DTV converter box? |

No you cannot record High Definition TV from your DTV converter box as the box can only put out 480i converted video. It is intended for an analog TV.
A DVR can record standard definition video or High Definition video if designed to do so where a DVD recorder can only record standard definition video. DVD is a standard definition format. Some DVD recorders can upconvert to near HD for output to TV but cannot record that to DVD. |
